Presidents Day 2022

Bob Lee Club President sponsored the Presidents competition on a sunny and warm Saturday the 20th August. Eight teams of triples competed in two sections for the right to play in the final. At the end of game one we had a refreshment break followed by a "spider " which was won by new member, Richard Weller. The end of the sectional games saw a close result in section "A" with just one shot difference separating the triples of Margaret Norman and Cyril Norman, with the latter proceeding to the final. In section "B" the triple of Bryan Ellis, Jen Grainger and John Fordham headed the section and also proceeded to the final. Prior to the final an enjoyable buffet provided by Denise and the ladies was followed by a vote of thanks by Bob to everyone who had contributed to the day. A donation of £80 was collected and donated to Bob's nominated charity, Prostate Cancer. As an enjoyable day drew to a close the final was deservedly won by the triple of Cyril Norman, John Spencer and Ted Cooper. Bob presented the prizes to the runners up and winners and thanked everyone for supporting his day.
